While I can render selections to samples I would also like to play/loop such a selection. It’s more flexible to select areas of interest this way instead of block loops and muted channels and it would be better fit for sound design and tweaking.
In the way of tweaking it would be nice if filter and eq sliders would show their area of effect (like cutoff) in master spectrum viewer. It would also make sense to me to drag an area in master spectrum viewer and only hear the selected frequencies (it would make even more sense with rolling sonogram). Both would make it easier to hear and see what sound happens at which frequency.
