when I mark something in the sample editor and press ‘play selection’ , the whole sample will be played. What am I doing wrong?
Can’t reproduce your problem.
Is this with a specific sample?
(if so, you might want to link to either the sample or the instrument.)
it seems only to occour if you select a sample until its end (e.g. from the middle till its end). If you can reproduce this, then I posted my problem in the wrong thread 
edit: It just confirmed, that I posted this in the wrong thread. Now I’ll report a bug…
