Play Vsti From Keys With Gui Open.

When i load a vst instrument i can either

  1. Play it with its gui closed. or…
  2. Record some notes into renoise, set renoise playing those notes looped, and then alter the settings on the vsti.

I cant open the gui and play my keyboard whilst tweaking virtual knobs and sliders.

Is this my settings, is there a reason for it ive missed or is it a bug/mistake?

with “my keyboard” do you mean a MIDI keyboard or a standard PC keyboard?

if the second case is true, then give a look at the bottom-left corner of the VST GUI: maybe you have the “Enable keyboard” checkbox checked?

this checkbox passes your PC keyboard input to the VST GUI, preventing Renoise from playing the notes
