Hi guys, please can someone help me with my problem I posted the other day, I haven’t been able to get a reply from the Renoise team.

I installed Cubase the other day and now Renoise can find any VSTs.
Any ideas?

I can’t even browse any VST folders in Renoise.

This has happend before with buggy VSTs but I’m not sure that is the problem this time as I’m not getting a message about a buggy VST, even though I have also installed lots of new VSTs into the VST folder at the same time that I installed Cubase.

Please help me guys, Renoise without VSTs is like Sex without women!

Actually I think it is a buggy VST but when I go to the Log I can’t make any sense of it and how do I track down which VST is causing the problems?

You could perhaps try editing Renoise’s config.xml to manually remove the VST directory entry, then reload Renoise, reconfigure the VST directory there and rescan the plugins. Maybe Renoise will give an error message at that time about which one is causing the problem.

Config file can be found in:

C:\Documents and Settings<your username>\Application Data\Renoise<renoise version number><br>```

Did Renoise even start at all after you erased the VST directory entry in the config file?
