Normally my songs are around 60 tracks including busses. My macbook is getting into problems. Anybody some tips for tuning renoise and my macbook. It’s the previous macbook and running osx 10.8.3?

One thing you can try is converting some of your vst instruments to samples using the plugin grabber. This also allows you to use the envelopes which is cool. The downside will be once you grab the plugin it’ll be a pain to go back and change parameters, and you’ll lose automations you set up if you automated any vst parameters. But it should be more cpu efficient. This is also the “cool” way to use renoise in all its tracker glory with pattern commands and everything.
You also might consider just grabbing some of your more cpu demanding plugins.
