Is there any way to have my dynamics effects after a line input but before the pre fader? can you make this happen?
I want to be able to have distortions, compressors, etc on the inputs from my outboard gear pre fader so when I change the volume it doesn’t change my dynamics settings… and STILL be able to have a send device post fader as this is essential to any send device. This seems like it should be standard on any audio mixer software or otherwise. Inserts (dynamics - pre fader) before sends (time based effects - post fader).
I am using a gainer right now after the dynamics and that works fine, and it is saved to my template. It would just be nice if there was an insert section and a send section so I could have the visual feedback of the mixer pre faders while performing.
ps- my audio inputs are still misnamed. i.e. - instead of listing my inputs as “channel 1, fatman, virus L, virus R, Nord L, etc” when grabbing names from my interface it lists them as “MOTU Traveler 1+2, Fatman and VIRUS, VIRUS AND VIRUS, VIRUS and Nord L” this is wrong as “virus and nord” are on different stereo pairs altogether. maybe I just cant have an odd duck on channel 2?
Thanks for making great software… I would really like to use renoise at my next show without having to use outboard dynamics!
