Pretty Please!

Yeah- I’m not trying to be the resident asshole, so I’m just keeping my inqueries in this thread rather than post a million times about it everywhere else and in other peoples threads. I mailed taktik once, so I’m not going to bother him. The anticipation is just killing me since I downloaded the demo and it works beutifully (I’ve been using about 20 free plugs from destroy fx and smart electronics that were just finished for the new intel macs and everything is running great)- I feel like a hungry dog who has been given a tiny cube of steak and knows there is a full one waiting for him somewhere.

Well… that was discouraging.

Heres what I got:

Hello Louis,

as you could already read on the Renoise-Forum, the 1.5.3 is not an official
release and was intended for testing purposes only. It does not contain any
new features but only smaller test-bugfixes for the OS X version. Please use
the official and supported 1.5.2 version of Renoise.

Happy tracking!

Paul.

:( You guys normaly tell people who are testing to use supported versions instead?

this makes me feel much more optimistic though!:

Hello Louis,

i had the impression that you were using the PC version but since you are
using one of the newer intel macs you are absolutely right. Unfortunately we
are not quite ready to launch an automatic download system for this version
yet. So you will need to get in touch with taktik directly. Furthermore i
wasnt aware about your participation in the osx/x86 beta team - that was the
reason why i asked you to use the official builds.

It might sound funny, but we do have supported and unsupported beta/alpha
releases. 1.5.3beta was such an unofficial release and lacks from your point
of view of features you payed for. Right now i cannot do much about it except
telling you to use official releases - sorry!

I am sure taktik will get back to you as soon he arrived back from vaccations.

Kind regards,

Paul.
