Just have seen that this is an older registration. So Renoise worked fine on your old hardware? This problem only happens on your new MacBook Air?

i believe so. i had not tried renoise on my older mac that much but i do not recall running into these scrolling problems when i had tried learning it back then.

So I finally figured out the problem. I had a bunch of games on my computer that had some some settings involving keys in them. It was a little embarrassing so I never mentioned or thought of it. Deleting them solved all the problems I listed above.

Always good when people come forward and tell they got their issues fixed, and how. Especially so if it’s a little bit of an embarrassing user error. So thank you for that @tunesz !
