Pseudo Group Solo For Send Channels

Hello everybody,

I guess I’m not the first demanding more versatile mixer options, although I’m glad that the mixer has been improved already (thanks Taktik :slight_smile:

Now, I have a new (?) suggestion:

For example: if you have 6 regular Channels which send to several send channels:

C1 -> S1 -> S3
C2 -> S2 -> S3
C3 --------> S3
C4
C5
C6

Now, if you switch S3 to Solo normally you won’t hear anything, since C1,C2,3 and S1,S2 and so on are muted.
So if you just want to listen to the S3 Track you always have to de-mute C1, S1, S2, C3.

That really costs time and is a pain in the ass.

Wasn’t it possible to add a funtion like the following:

Holding Alt key and pressing solo button on a Track which receives audio,
mutes all channels but tracks that are senders to the current channel:

E.g. press Alt + Solo on S3 (E=Enabled, D=Disabled):

C1 (E) -> S1 (E) -> S3 (E)
C2 (E) -> S2 (E) -> S3 (E)
C3 (E) ------------ > S3 (E)
C4 (D)
C5 (D)

E.g. press Alt + Solo on S2:

C1 (D) -> S1 (D) -> S3 (D)
C2 (E) -> S2 (E) -> S3 (D)
C3 (D) -------------> S3 (D)
C4 (D)
C5 (D)

Oh maybe I should have named the topic better “Adjacent Group Solo For Send Channels

Best Regards

if you solo track 1 (c1 in your example)
send track 1 will automatically be soloed if that’s where the send goes
sort of like “solo safe” in Protools
