Pure Renoise: New Spirits

Hi fellow renoisers,

I thought it’s time to share one of my latest Renoise tweaks with you. No VST(i) involved.
I’m excited about your oppinion! The bassline tells the story…

UPDATE:
The respective .RNS file can be found here:
http://www.kennybeltrey.com/trash/snoox_ne…spirits_rns.zip

Really nice work. I like the “clearness” of the drums. I don’t get the point why people need to download illegal stuff. This is some sort of advertisement for all Emule Freaks - > Get to Renoise.com and download all you can find in the “Song Forums” because THAT is really good music.

Nice work Kenny! (and another song for my car-hifi ;) )

Jarre no. 2! Nice tune, nice atmosphere! I love you man!

EDIT: Nice web site also!
Can I have the .RNS?

Sounds really nice, indeed! The only thing i would change is a better ending of your track, a simple fadeout works but i think this would spice this track to perfect. Nothing more to say! :P

I wonder if “the only” will recognize your comment within the .mp3!? He deserves it! ;) :D

heya kenny!
a thread by you in the rns song forum? that’s what i call a nice surprise for a sunday noon surf-by! :)
glad to see you got something finished on your cute mac finally and even better to hear the outcome is such a great tune like this.
“new spirits” got everything which constitutes a typical kenny beltrey song: a relaxed atmosphere, a diversified arrangement, the playfulness of all melodic elements involved ( love the way you make use of the vocals ) and of course, like always, the characteristical catchyness of your beats, melodies and general flow.
the only complaints i’d have, is the fade-out ending and the lack of true surprises throughout the arrangement or maybe a theme-/mood-change, which would’ve been nice.
the most striking thing is however the fade-out ending, please write a proper one - the tune is worth’it !
and after reading the “non-VST(i) ad” i wondered where the link for the .rns is?! please do the community a favour and release your sources, where applicable! ;)

ps. thanks for the dedication andreas! changesskincolour

kisses! :P

@dopefish: Thanks for the nice words. I hope the tune makes a useful impression on your car’s hi-fi !

@tnt97: I wish I could say “I love you, too” - Glad you like the website!

@Beatslaughter: I thought the fadeout in the end gives the tune a more “timeless” feeling. But since you’re not the only one with this complain, i’ll look into that! P.s.: The only has recognized my sidenote! =)

@keith303: Contrary to this musical piece, I’m always good for suprises ! =) There you see, even on a Mac one’s able to write fairly half-acceptable music! Hehe… As for the faded out ending, I’ll have a look into that. Thanks loads for your nice words!

this is highly acceptable even, but i assume you actually wrote 99% of this on your previous computer (pc) and only added the missing 1% (eg: the marvellous fade-out) on your MAC! gotcha huh?! :D

oh and please somebody be so kind and explain this guy how to use VST(i) on a MAC - he doesn’t have a clue and is totally lost ever since regarding this matter. :(

I instantly turned up the volume!
10 out of 10.
Thanks for the song, will definatly play to my friends.

As keith said it deserves a proper ending!

Wow! Another pro track!
I’d second the motion to release the rns…

Very nice song…

@keith303: you’re excactly right about the 99% pc and 1% mac part (…) btw. i already figured out the vst-on-a-mac issue. ten times more handy than on a pc - as usual… =)

@splajn: always nice to hear that you like it!

@vectorarray: thanks for the comment. It wouldn’t feel “pro” without you mentioning it =)

good stuff, i really like the pads and the echoey marimba sounding instrument

i havent heard such good stuff in a long time in the tracker scene! I also liked “Astrokids” ! Like ur style ! keep up the good work! !! ;)

greets from holland

Nebula

i’d like to join with all you saying complimentary words for this track.
some tracks are just full on energy, and sound good, besides having nice mystical ambient sounds, and this on of one of these songs. the creator is really talented and I look forward for the next tunes =)

@dj lo: ever since the ancient ft2 days, that marimba sample pops up in my tunes on a regular basis… it simply has something that no VSTi could offer me yet…

@nebula: glad you like it. where did you find “astrokids”? when i listen to that tune nowadays (it’s one year old) i always think “waaah, this is too fast”. greetings back to lovely holland !

@bright: thanks for your nice words. i’d be glad posting another song here soon. please stay tuned!

I’m currently listening to your song. Amazing stuff you have there. Very good productions values, perfectly arranged and mixed.

I disagree with the others: I like the fade out ending very much. I would definitly keep it. It makes you wanna play the song over and over again.

kick ass kenny! this was a nice thing to get back to after spending some time in prague and now being exhausted. great atomospheres and attention to detail.

just lovely :)

hope to hear more of this soon!

cheers,
.x

@maverick69: thanks for your feedback. i actually liked the fade-out ending very much, too, so i decided to keep it that way.

@xerxes: glad you like the tune - i suppose prague is a cool city eh? travelling around is always a great source of inspiration to me…

…i finally managed to upload the .RNS of “New Spirits”:
http://www.kennybeltrey.com/trash/snoox_ne…spirits_rns.zip

…i’m curious if anyone would be interested in remixing it!? =)
