Questions About Editing The Amen Break

Heeyy! I have just started renoise and am making breakbeat based music. I was wondering if someone could tell me how the amen that renoise came with was edited. Has it just been pitched up a bit and time stretched? I have decided to use the original amen break and wanted to edit it from scratch. I have learnt how to do very basic compressing and gating. I know how to chop stuff up in renoise. I just want to know how the amen was processed because it sounds quite different from the original. Thanks. :P

I don’t know what has happent with that amen…
but could you give your topic a usefull name next time?

Yeah sorry about that… Im new to the whole forum thing :(

I have just been using the renoise amen for a few weeks and found that by using compression and a little gating I can make the ghost snares really tight and loud but then I started using the original amen break sample because I dont like using a break unless I know what has been done to it and the ghost snares dont sound as defined and loud. I tried adjusting the compression but its just not working. Its really doing my head in so any help would be very much appreciated. thanks!

Honestly?
I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Just use the provided Amen if it sounds good. Get composing!
