Recording a sample while jamming with VSTI's

Just wondered if its possible to record (in Renoise) a new sample while im playing chords on a VSTi at the same time ?

This may be possible with 2 renoise windows open at the same time?

If not possible with one window, could i suggest this function as a feature in a new version ?

It would speed up creativity as i get some pretty neat sounds that i cant recreate easily, but could sample out of a ‘jam session’

Can you jam-record while real-time rendering? Or is MIDI disabled when rendering?

Midi is not disabled (because you can record your external gear using the real-time mode), but audio output is disabled while rendering, so you can’t hear your stuff when jamming during the rendering. So this makes live jamming into the recording out of the question
