Recovering Soundfont Information From .rns

Hi folks,

I’ve got a lot of Renoise songs that use Soundfonts through the popular SFZ plugin. The problem is that after a hard drive failure, I was able to recover only the .rns files, but not the soundfonts, which makes the salvaged songfiles almost useless. Why, you ask? See, with an extensive .sf2 collection it is very easy to lose track, which certain piano, violin etc sample file was used in a song. As long as I had the collection, I opened a song and Renoise ordered SFZ to load correct samples. Without it, Renoise lets SFZ open any random soundfont it finds first.

So, is it possible to find out which soundfonts were used in a song, or do I have to start downloading every SF2 I come across in the hope that it matches that used in my songs?

Thanks a lot!
