Im sitting and would like to program some drums to a regular song…
now i would like to have the whole song running but it has to be in sync with a bpm i manually choose.
I dont wanna program it to the songs original bpm.
and cant do the sync function in (song settings) because the song is like 4 minutes long…
if you have any idea of doing this it would be so cool!!!
kind regards=)
Ps. i remember to have seen a trick for this task but i cant find the tutorial regarding it…
i timestretch and cut up vocals, and samples on occasion, in cubase… it’s fairly quick, usually just takes a couple of minutes.
but then i know what bpm i’m going to do my song in and stretch it to fit that (when i’m doing vocals… not with samples). then cut it up into intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus aso (you can cut it as you wish… into 1,2,4 bar loops or whatever) and then render the parts into new files, if you do it right it’s not hard to put in the 09xx commands in renoise for it and you can skip around almost as you wish.
What takes the most time is the 09xx input, but as with everything, practice makes perfect hehe.
just another way of doing it, beatslaugters method seem pretty good as well, result is more or less the same.
i can do some little tutorial with pictures, or even a video, if anyone’s interested in how i do it… just give me a shout.
i’m still looking forward to some wave tracks in renoise tho to make life a little easier.
the thing is that what i would like is to sync the whole song to any tempo i like (it’s like warp in ableton)… and i think i have read about a way of doing it via 09xx commands…i just cant find it or remember how…??
for an example:
lets say we have a song from (Metallica or whatever…) and the bpm of that song is 125… i would then like program some drums on it at 200bpm…therefor i have to get the song in sync with 200bpm
is that possible? if yes, i would really like to now how?
