Stupid question, just need a confirmation. When rendering to WAV, this is all done through software and the sound card does not effect the sound of the recording correct?
you could even render to .wav without having a soundcard installed in your PC at all.
Is this the way rendering usually works? In other software as well?
Stupid me have, up until a few weeks ago, sometimes been using the internal card for tracking and connecting the external one for rendering.
it’s absolutely the way rendering works with all audio software.
as long as everything is internal (no external midi), the soundcard doesn’t make a difference to quality.
