We started the alpha’s at 1.9.2 and currently we are at level 1.9.3
We don’t dare to go 3 steps up like we did from 1.5 to 1.8 because that would mean we would end up at 2.2 Which would piss off a lot of current registered users( those that registered 1.0 and 1.1 would have had to upgrade their license in that case).

If I had a say, I’d recommend everyone use this for cowbell, so Taktik could spend his time making it possible for us to choose our own splash image. Most icons can be customized, it would be fun to be greeted by Manowar as Renoise loads.
how about a button at the top that says ‘Create a tune for me’
then a pull down menu below with a list of styles/genres from ambient to zebra-step.
this feature is already implemented, look more carefully.

I hope version 2’s beta won’t be released at the beginning of the new school semester in September, otherwise school will play second fiddle…again!

If you believe me or not, i’m an insider into Renoise progress, but the devs/mods dont know about it, so keep it as a secret.
Leaked infos i have so far:
- Havok engine for smooth Cursor/Line Scrolling implemented
- Easteregg included ( Cursor jumps into any track randomly + random setting of instrument ), date/time unknown for the moment, working on that
- All user-wishes ‘fake-implemented’ aka PDC, Sidechain, SysEx and so on…
- Nibbles ( keystrokes disabled during gameplay )
- keyboard mapping qwertz > abcdef changed and hardcoded
- Songinfo Comment ‘Track made by IT-Alien. All rights reserved’ hardcoded

This information is hardcoded through the registration info. If you are a registered user, your name supposed to be on that spot. So now i know where you got your copy from
