In both the new arranger and also in the mixer view - the new midi implementation is rather fantastic.
However - a lot of controller surfaces tend to come with knobs/ faders / buttons - in rows of 8.
Being able to assign controls that are then ‘bank selectable’ would make things more useful.
Like on my BCR2000 - i can assign the top two rows of 8 buttons for mute and solo, the top knobs for level (and push and turn for pan).
Being able to switch through banks of 8 would be very useful.
Of course this wouldnt keep guys with 16 button wide controllers happy - but they could simply program a extra few patches.
