Renoise Doesn''T Start Anymore

Hi all, I recently had an hard disk problem on pc and had several system files corrupted.
After scandisk some apps were restored but Renoise won’t start, I also tried to reinstall it without good results.
It crashes at splash screen maybe while loading VST or MIDI modules.
What I can do?

Thanks

try removing the application data folder from your hard disk and try running Renoise again.

if you are using Windows, it should be in a path like this:

c : \ documents and settings \ your user name \ application data \ renoise

(warning: this will erase all of your configurations (shortcut keys, paths, and so on), so it may be wise to perform a backup of the folder before removing)

Maybe during the crash, some important external files for Renoise were lost.

Thanks, but I forgot to mention I’ve already done this too, sorry.
I wonder which external files /dll renoise uses, so in case I’d replace all of those…

External applications Renoise uses i would suggest following this list:
Uninstall Quicktime and Reinstall Quicktime.
Reinstall DirectX
Uninstall Renoise completely and reinstall Renoise.

Thx, I’ll try to reinstall directX because I’ve already tried with quicktime.
Anyway here’s the log:

DirectMusic… you might also get a chance by reinstalling your audiocard drivers, they usually also come with DirectMusic drivers.

And Direct X.

DirectX though really is tight to a lot of things in the system. If even this doesn’t work, I think you have no other chance than reinstalling Windows.
