I can’t really comment Redman on the mix as such because I’m not a mixing/mastering expert, plus I use headphones… But I can tell you what I expected to happen (but this is just my personal preference). I expected a change of chord. A similar thing happens in say the demo tune in Renoise that dblue did called ‘Tension’. In that demo tune he has a long section(s) without really changing the base chord (because that seems to be ‘the style’ and adds to the ‘tension’.) He has a nice arp riding over the top of a lot of sound FX. But even dblue has to start changing the chord at say patterns 19 & 20.

Maybe someone would come along and mess about with it and then you could compare
