ok so say if you want to add reverb to the sample, you get the reverb up in your DSP, click on ‘FX’ but it can’t do the reverb tail because there’s no where for it to go so how would you insert scilence?
I know you’re probably all thinking why would you want to add reverb to the sample when you can just add it to the track, well, i don’t want it that way
But that is actually the trick:add reverb to the track… do you want it as a sample? Then select the range from noteplay to where your sound shuts down and render to sample.
Then you can remove the effect from the track and you will have a sample rendered fully with reverb as long as you desire.
In pattern editor, highlight some of an empty track.
Right click on the highlighted area and select “Render Selection to Sample Slot”.
Open the new rendered instrument in the sample editor.
There’s your rendered silence sample. You can then select it in the sample editor and copy and paste it into the end of the sample you want to add reverb via “Apply FX” to.
dammit. restricted to registered users only and i still have the demo, i’ve sent payment for my full version though, just can’t wait to get it that’s all, will just have to wait.
No worries. Meantime, you could just create a WAV file of silence in some random audio editor, load that into renoise, and copy and paste it onto the end of your sample-to-be-reverbed.
i usually copy and paste part of my sample at the end of the sound, then turn its volume down using the sampler gain thingy . . that saves messing around between pattern editor and sampler editor screens. . . and you dont even have to change samples . . . . . . . . .
