If you select a portion of the sample, and hit the “play” button it will play from the beginning of the selection all the way to the end of the sample. I think it would be better just to play the selection.

Sidenote: There should be a list of known issues and suggestions on this board so people can see at a glance if something is being worked on.

yes playing only the selection is good.

another thing is that if you hit play twice, the sample isn’t stopped and you hear it twice.
