Quick question - I’m using a VST and a sample as an instrument, on a certain pattern I want to turn off the VST, and just have the sample, then back on again a couple of patterns later - any idea on this one?

Don’t know if there is an easier way, but you could maybe set up a volume envelope shape in the instrument settings, and trigger the section of the envelope where it is silent using EXX pattern command?

what happens if you put C00 as pattern command, this doesn’t cut off the vsti does it? Might still leave in some residue sound from the sample though.
He wants to cut off the VST, not the samples. the only thing i can imagine is currently use a VST Instrument device and control the volume parameter of the VSTi using automation.
