I was listening to a drum beat I had managed to make and scrolled up. Scratching the mouse wheel made a cool effect when the playing “jump” to different places. Almost like scratching. Is there anyway to do this (I’ve asked on IRC, they didn’t think so) if not is there any chance this could be added?
i think its possible, cant remember if its right cant check right now,but i think its page up and page down
someone please correct me if im wrong
This is what I did might have done something wrong:
I made a simple 1/4 beat. Pressed record and then play then I did pg up and pg down and then pressed stop. But it did not capture the movements. Hmm.
The track Days Away uses pattern list scratching in the end. I just recorded it back to renoise with jack under linux. But you can record it to some other program with rewire… I THINK. I am not sure how things work in windows world.
record it externally, import the sample?
i once used Silverspike.TapeIt - a vst plug, that records all incoming audio. i did a waveform scratching back then - pointing mouse over a loop in a wave editor
The VST looks like a simple way of doing it. Thanks for the response
Yeah, recording it is the simple option, but it would be great to be able to record scroll wheel automation and write it directly on the track, so that what you did could be tweaked and wouldnt need to be written to file…
You mouse would become an instrument!
Implementation would be hard, I imagine.
