Sequencer Flip!

Who’s to say you need to go horizontal to have audio tracks? Just flip them on their sides :P

renoise definitely needs a solution for handling long samples, for long sequences and long notes piano roll is better solution than tracker which usually runs at high speed because of detail… for drumwork detailed tweaks etc tracker wins anytime… if you have 1 note of pad playing over 2-4 patterns you can get lost easily and you have to return to the first pattern to play it etc… same with audio synchronising, it’s just pain in the ass now

Uhm… how about “nobody”? And I never voted for “going horizontal”, I voted for “make it flexible, make it what it ought to be: a mere variable” :P

I LOVE tracking in vertical because I came as everybody here from ft2, but would be fin great has double views, but probabilly is lighter has just a bottom “horizontal view” (near pattern editor) where you can change the visualization in horizontal like in ableton live. (sequencer or session)… but in this case the session would be the pattern editor.I think this will take time to program in renoise, but could be make and more people for sure will buy renoise. maybe in the new 2.0 version could be implement?
for audio synchronising would be f
in better!!!

Anyone use PlayerPro for the mac back in the day? Both horizontal “piano roll” and vertical tracker windows, great synergy. I enjoyed that immensely, even though the piano roll became more of a visual key than anything else

Friends of mine used it as their primary tracker, i had a go a few times at it but was a FT2 user, the source code is public domain now

I just downloaded it and it runs fine (drag & drop an XM into the music list).

A bit on the ugly side, but yeah… Piano notation style and cubase piano roll style on OS X in a tracker… Haha.

I think they solved most of the problems we bitch about here actually. Notation and piano roll, bam, solved.

It even has a WAV view.

And shitload of other stuff.

Doesn’t win beauty pageant of the year award, but yeah, a lot of things Renoise should have is already in this dead tracker (with public domain source code, take a peek guys!)

also midi export/import iirc

I really like how they color-code channels, and have a window that shows every hit on every channel coming up. It’s in http://www.trotch.com/tmp/player_pro_screenshot_2.png, lower left

godDAMN that is one UGLY sequencer!

Can I quote you on that one?

Thanks.

Stop missing the point.

Beautiful features though :)
