Single sliced sample velocity problem

Hey,

Maybe someone has a solution to this,i have a single sample that i have sliced into 8 parts of equal length,

I have mapped each slice to a velocity layer and i have also turned off velocity to volume option

0-10

10-20

20-30

30-40 Etc.

this works great as now i can play each individual slice as any note using the velocity command in the pattern editor.However it leaves me with the problem of actually controlling the volume as i have had to turn off the velocity to volume option.Whats is the best way to control the volume on the fly as i write?

dunno what you actually try to do, but;

the MXX command on each line of the instrument where you want to change the volume, or otherwise automating a gain device or mixer volume track in the (graphical) automation editor?

Many thanks

Lxx, Ix, and Ox may all prove useful here as well.

You can also set up macro control of Amp level and use a macro device in the track to control volume via automation or track commands if you prefer

Im just testing out new ways to acid up my samples,im sure there is an easier way,its just that this particular system suits the way i program.Test below
