in the final version of renoise linux 64bit the gui for TAL noizemaker (latets version compiled for linux) suddenly stopped responding. Anyone know whats the problem?
solved it.
Just in case anyone runs into the same problem:
The xorg.conf file had a line that set the default colordepth to 16 or 24. This was because i tested an older graphics card earlier so its configuration stuck after i removed the hardware.
I just deleted the “default color depth” thing all together.
Obviously the noizemaker plugin didnt handle the lower colordepth or whatever. Now it works as before, which is great, becuase its a lovely plugin.

geiroffenberg: please contact the TAL crew and let them know about this. I think they will be interested in this and will try to fix this. 16bit screen resolutions are not really common anymore, but this still should not break anything.
I think falktx of KXStudio (http://kxstudio.sourceforge.net) did a rebuild of this Plugins for linux.
