[solved] Can't get Renoise 1.5.2 to run in Windows 7. Any ideas?

I need to use 1.5.2 to properly render some old SDCompo songs. I tried all kinds of compatibility settings, and it just hangs after loading the audio subsystem.

It’s weird because I got it to work before (after trying to restart it a couple times and running it in admin mode)… But now, nothing.

I’m currently installing Virtualbox and gonna try it in an XP machine… But I’d still like to know what’s going on ???

Even Virtualbox/XP had some problems, it worked for a while and then suddenly that stopped working too. It also had some resolution issues.

What finally did work was installing the XP Mode virtualization which can be added to windows 7, as shown here:

I had no idea it existed till today. Anyway, it works a treat :slight_smile:
