Nothing happens when I try to use granular selection (on vol column) by holding left alt and selecting with the mouse cursor. It just selects the whole note column like normal.
I can get it working with Alt Gr (right alt) by changing to “Modifiers only” under preferences/keys. What am I possibly missing?
It’s working with my laptop at home, but not on my other computer using a logitech ultra-x keyboard under Win10x64. Perhaps I should report this as a bug.
What I mean is: does the Alt key work in other places in Renoise and does it work in other applications?
If you manually map for example “Alt + T” to “Insert Track” in Renoise. Does this work?
select + alt = granular selection (but always including note column, no selection of single fx/vol… column possible)
select + alt+ctrl = granular selection, no limitation
(I don’t really understand that behaviour - why is the first one necessary at all?, but at least ctrl should be mentioned in the help text at the bottom.)
oh. I am using Linux right now, maybe it’s different on Windows. I’ll try tomorrow at work. I often use alt-gr as a shortcut for alt+ctrl in windows applications, but in renoise with ‘modifiers only’ it was always just assigned as Alt in the past.
