[solved] Linux: Renoise does not start, libasound error

Hi all,

I tried to get Renoise running with KXStudio. I just unpacked the tar file and upone “./renoise” I get the message

./renoise: error while loading shared libraries: libasound.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I tried installing the package

sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-0:i386

but still have problems with connecting to Jack. Alsa also doesn’t work.

Any idea what can be wrong here? :blink:

edit: I installed the 64bit version, now it works :yeah:

I’m a linux noob too. Did you remove Alsa? Try installing the alsa-base package.

The problem was with the version I used. With 64bit everything works out of the box. Now I start reading the manual :slight_smile:
