OS X El Capitan latest, Renoise 3.1 x86 build, slick eq vst x86
I just found out a bug with TDR VOS Slick EQ - open plugin gui and try to close and then a white windows stays floating around and i cant close it at all.
This is not happening with 32bit AU version, also not happening with x64 builds of renoise 3.1 and slick eq.
Not pretty sure which fault is this, tdr or renoise. I wrote to TDR and let’s see what they’ll say about.
I just found out that this is happening to all x32 VSTs by TDR. x32 AU and x64 AU & VST are not affected. Also this gui bug was not happening on Renoise 3.0.1
p.s.s.
Valhalla DSP plugins (x32 versions for sure) have the same issues, so i guess thats a Renoise issue??
UPDATE:
Try to open one of those mentioned plugins, close it, you’ll see a white window for sure, then open any other window (like browser or whatever), switch to app with cmd+tab, switch back to renoise, white gui is gone.
UPDATE 2:
Same issues with D16 drummachine plugins, so i consider this as a Renoise/El Capitan issue.
Seems to happen with some other but not all hosts on OS X El Capitan too, and also older versions of Renoise.
Maybe it’s related to the “hasCockosViewAsConfig” option, which some but not all hosts support (see http://www.reaper.fm/sdk/vst/vst_ext.php.)
Either way, this is something which needs to be fixed by the TDR crew.

and also older versions of Renoise - WRONG.
Tried this with x32 3.0.1 and 2.8 - ALL FINE. This issue is only in 3.1
I really does the same thing here on my OSX El capitan setup with older Renoise releases (3.0.1, 32bit, no bridging).
But it also does not happen with Reaper and Live here, but does happen with for example MuLab. That’s why I though it may be related to the"hasCockosViewAsConfig" option.
I also don’t care who’s “fault” or “bug” or compatibility problem this is, but if a problem with a plugin happens in more than one host, it makes sense to fix the problem in the plugin.

Just did some more tests now and this is really weird - i’ve started 3.0.1 with a new song (also tried this with 2.8), opened TDR plug, closed it, no issues. Then i started 3.1 with a new song, opened TDR plug, closed it - NO ISSUES! Then i loaded various of xrns files (which was made with 3.0.1) which contains TDR plugs, opened their gui, closed and again a white window. I closed 3.1, started again with a new song, loaded TDR plug, opened the window, close - again a white window.
May be this helps somehow.
Both Valhalla Freq Echo VST and Curve 2 VSTi also bugs with a white blank window in Renoise 3.0.0 on Yosemite.
