[solved] Piano

I am trying to find a good clean piano-sound to use. Been looking around, in all the wrong places obviously, but haven’t been able to find one.

So I turn to you, Renoise-forumers, and ask if you have any good one that you use and are willing to share?

All I have is one that sounds plastic and one that sounds like it was recorded in the 1950’s. I’m looking for one that is clean, clear, and with lot of body to it.

I think this can be a good do-it-yourself option:

Download Pianoteq VST trial (it has 8 notes disabled and quits after 20 minutes of usage), model your ideal piano and sample it using Renoise “Render to sample” feature

Hey good idea, didn’t think of just rendering it. Its not yet a vst though.

do you mean that there is not a Linux VST version yet?
yeah, but the author will probably release it soon.

Linux sampler has an amazing Piano bank
Try that
The win VST runs under wine and obviously the stand alone runs in Linux :)

Cheers

I downloaded the Pianoteq and tried to use it as a VST, but all I get is a frozen Renoise and then it quits. :(

(Using 2.1 and Mac OS 10.5.7)

Nevermind, got it to work.

Thanks a million, IT-Alien! :w00t:
