First off I’d like to say that i’m new to renoise so this might be a very simple problem but i can’t figure it out.
I am using the demo version at the moment to see if this program is suited for me.
I was working on a song then saved and closed it.
Now when I open it the tempo is not correct anymore,
It indicates the correct BPM but it moves much faster.
The sample-instrument are also being pitched…
Hope you can help me.
It’s an asignment for school, i could only use a suplied song and had to use that to create something completly new and couldn’t add anything so that why everything sounds a bit weird i’m trying to create a song with little snips from another song.
Hi, and welcome to Renoise. I believe your problem is that you never specified the BPM value before saving the song.
try putting a F0xx command into any of the command columns (I usually put F0xx commands in the master channel): it will set the BPM to the value of xx, in hexadecimal. For example, if you put a F080, the BPM value will be set at 128, as 80h=128d
If everything seems to play at a different rate than it should, its more likely that something changes the samplerate of your soundcard in the background. This can happen on OSX with itunes running (sometimes) and on windows on some ASIO drivers which do lock the sample rates.
Which OS are you running Renoise on. Does it help if you click on the “Reinitialize” button in Renoises Audio prefs. Which OS, soundcard are you using?
