I know theres something stupid im not doing but i cant preview my samples anymore(i have sample preview button enabled btw)but i just get no sound…

Samples or instruments?
Instruments for some reason only supply a sound after you load them.
Mp3 files rely on whether you have Quicktime installed and it can take some time before that stuff got decoded.
i mean samples i know you cant preview instruments.how do i turn the preview sample volume back up??
You get a little volume slider and output selector when you’re in the sample browser:
