[Solved] Vst Not Recognized After A Crash?

renoise isn’t picking up the Molar_40h.dll vst file in my vst folder anymore. i was playing with it fine and then it crashed. now the renoise won’t “see” the vst. very annoying!

i’ve tried un/reinstalling renoise. re-downloading the molar vst zip, nada. rescanning the vst folder from renoise.

it picks up the 128/256 vst versions fine. anyone got any ideas??

btw, molar is a vst for the monome. the 128/256 versions are picked up just fine. why won’t renoise see the 40h version?

Plugins which caused a crash upon scanning are never rescanned though, unless you delete the VST cache files in the Renoise preferences folder. When this option is disabled, hitting the “Rescan” button will only look for new plugins.

Inside Renoise go to menu “Help → Show The Preferences Folder…” and delete the files “CachedFailedVSTs.db” and “CachedVSTs.db”, then close and restart Renoise and try scanning again.
