I’ve been vibe-coding a song renderer/exporter in mp3, flac and ogg which works just fine in Windows using FFMPEG, but I don’t have access to a Linux install. Would anyone be willing to test this in a Linux environment and report back?
The tool renders a .wav file, converts it to specified format and then do an analysis and displays the rendered waveform in before and after compression and detects and marks any clipping (since lossy compression usually produces clipping). Also, you can load any wav/mp3/flac/ogg file directly for analysis. Of course, all this takes a bit longer than the built-in render because of the conversion but at least Analysis can be turned off.
On first run, you just click the “Install / Repair Encoder” button at Encoder section near the bottom of the dialog.
