Hey, I recently did a cool renoise session with the idea to morph your audio in to other audio using the same source.
The idea consists of starting out by building some blips and blops with a synthesizer, add some processing, render this to audio and cut it up.
When you have finished this, and for instance have build 20 blips and blops, create 6 tracks.
In these 5 tracks you put (for instance:)
track 1: EQ5, Lofimat, Chorus, and a filter set to high pass from 5k hz to 18k hz, pan hard left
track 2: EQ5, Lfo device linked to filter behind delay(resonance),delay with custom settings, filter with a low pass from 200 hz to 4.95khz. pan slightly left
track 3: EQ5, Lofimat, Chorus, and a filter set to low pass from 200 hz to 4.95khz, pan hard right
track 4: EQ5, Lfo device linked to filter behind delay(resonance) ,delay with custom settings, filter with a high pass from 5khz to 18khz. pan slightly right
track 5: EQ5, distortion 2 with custom settings filtering low, pan center
track 6: EQ5, distortion 2 with custom settings filtering high pan center
send all six channels to a send channel with a buscompressor, maybe some reverb.
Program a melody, lead, bassline, whatever in one of the tracks, copy this in the other 5 tracks.
Now by fading out one track fading in to other tracks via automation, you basicly have a custom morphing sound with purely using some fade in/fade out automation over these 6 tracks.
If people are interested I can submit a .rnx file this weekend, if I find out how to export it to a usable file.
It’s just a sketch by the way. I’ve only worked on it for about 3 hours.
Input is welcome.
Sounds wild! An XRNS would be good to get our heads around it.
EDIT: You may want to set BPM lower to better understand, i just set it to something that sounds cool
