Steam Renoise User Group

Ohh, but this is different. It’s not difficult to play, but it’s hard to beat the record. Currently, a friend of mine holds the record at 1267 points - if any of you beat this record, please send me the replay so I can tease him with it

Spat out of Hell (Trackmania Extreme stunt challenge, 5k)

Simply copy the Gbx file to the “my challenges” folder inside trackmania!

Downloaded, will try it out over the next days and report back to you.

@danoise: Finally wanted to play your track, but my free version of TrackMania doesn’t work with it.

The Renoise group grew to thirteen members at the moment.

I never saw your reply…sorry about that!
The track is supposed to work with Trackmania Extreme, so you can’t make it work with the free version.
In the meantime, I’ve installed nations, and I love it! Racing is much more fun than in Extreme.
Anybody else is playing this online?

Bumping this… Left 4 Dead is on sale this weekend on Steam for 50% off if someone wants to join. We had quite some fun today! :)

wait, Halo 2 deathmatch is free to download? is it on mac??

Hl2 Deathmatch means Half-Life 2 Deathmatch and it’s probably not available for MAC i’m afraid.

pff

Good idea beatslughter i just joined.

Nice… i had fun with the demo… a bit too much resemblance to Resident Evil but then seen from a different angle.

speaking about Half Life…
Nice what some Fan’s can generate, this film is very fresh (and 500 bucks based material):

So far i really like it, but for the long term it needs more content. This spring a big update will be released, including a SDK, so i think it will grow over time pretty well.

Seen that one too a few days ago. Surely great work.

Btw.: If you’re from the Eurozone, you can get the game even cheaper, if you find someone from UK to gift it to you. It’s 13.49 GBP there. For germans it also has the nice side effect of being uncut. ;)

I would enjoy playing some L4D with you guys but I’m pretty sure its an average of about 300ms ping to .de from .au :(

Although, if anyone plays Civ 4… that doesn’t rely on ping very much…
(I also have the Beyond the Sword addon…)

i would really like to know what the process was of doing this, the renders were excellent and the scenes looked profound! they maybe could have been more in character with it being post invasion and all.
going off of hl2 hl2ep1 and hl2ep2 the 2 main characters of this part one could have been more hardened and full of spirit from being hunted. i do know they weren’t trained actors, so overall this was pretty nice. they need that not afraid to die and always ready to fight for the cause feeling the characters who where joining up with freeman had.

also for the topic:
i just bought L4D last night during the half price weekend thing. but i only have like 79% downloaded until later on tonight. i haven’t used the community thing yet, i need to find a better net connection.

Oh yeah! has anyone played Dystopia mod?
i was pretty impressed, from spectating. it’s like a multiplayer deus ex invisable war & tron 2.0, on the source engine.

Haven’t played that Dystopia game yet, but i’ve seen similar looking deathmatch levels online on some servers.

Dystopia is pretty weird… The tutorial did some explanation but not all… it will take me a few days before i get a good hang of that game.

"Price changes in the retail world don’t allow for much freedom. Steam and other services offer flexability. In fact, users apparently respond to pricing discounts within five minutes.

Valve was afraid that too many price changes would “confuse and anger” customers. It isn’t the case.

Last weekend, Valve decided to do an experiment with Left 4 Dead. Last weekend’s sale resulted in a 3000% increase over relatively flat numbers. It sold more last weekend than when it launched the game. WOW. That is unheard of in this industry. Valve beat its launch sales. Also, it snagged a 1600% increase in new customers to Steam over the baseline.

Worried retailers, fear not. The weekend sale didn’t canabalize sales from retail. In fact, they remained constant. Well, constant isn’t a 3000% increase, but it’s still pretty good, right?"

man, here in the states there is a retailer named circuit city. they have been having a going out of business sale for the past few weeks. i have bought so many games lately for like 30-40% off.
i’m very interested in mirrors edge. the visuals are very revelant toward my interests. once i see it at a discounted price. i’m jumping on it! :D

Have you guys tried Urban Terror? It is a free, realism based Quake3 mod and imo it is a hundred times more fun than Half Life or COD4. There’s a great community, and the gameplay is fast-paced. It plays like Matrix meets Max Payne. I recommend you give it a try. It is free after all. And it runs on mac, linux and PC.

Urban sports with a twist… i like that…
