Hi! I have strange problem with VST that I cannot solve. I’ve read the manual on VST (http://tutorials.renoise.com/?n=Renoise.UsingVST) and have worked liked it advised. I’m new with OS X 10.4 Tiger, VST and with Renoise, so I post the question to beginner’s section. Ok, so let’s get into the problem.
First, I downloaded some VST plugins (oatmeal and voyager for example) and then I copied them to /Users/myusername/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST (as it was set in the MISC/VST VST Directories option) and rescanned the plug-ins. And it says “Found 35 effects and 0 instruments”.
Then, to make sure I was doing it right, I copied the VST’s (oatmeal, voyager, etc.) also my working directory (/Users/myusersname/myworkingdirectory) and changed the options from MISC/VST VST Directories and included that path there. I rescanned but Renoise didn’t find any instruments either.
What might be wrong? I even changed the ownerships to 777 to make sure it wasn’t about that
