Suggestion: Implement Routing To Vsts Secondary Inputs

Hello all,

first let me talk about my great pleasure to see Renoise going 64 Bits !!
second my great great pleasure of seeing track grouping (now I don’t need to do this inside the sends… My sends can become real sends again :D)

Third, here what’s still lacks IMO for Renoise to become the master tool I will take pleasure to use again (I remind ppl that I stopped to use it because this feature was missing) :
the possibility of sidechaining into a VST (for example) secondary input, in order to use the sidechaining function of many compressors or other sidechaining effects.

Ok ok I know we can simulate ducking with the Signal Follower, etc, etc… Or some workaround with energyXT etc etc… But for me it’s sad I can’t exploit the full potential of my plugs just out of the box, in an easy way and without additional CPU usage.

I know we are already in beta, but I think a bunch of ppl would be happy if this was implemented.

Also, VST3 support would be nice. Because many of them propose sidechaining where their VST 2.4 counterpart didn’t.

Here it is, thanks to all the Dev for giving us this masterpiece called Renoise 2.8. I just hope I could use it in my daily work :P

Big changes like this wont come in a Beta! Better audio routing, support for multiple audio channels (rather than always two) and MIDI Routing are all things that have been requested many times and the Devs re aware of the benefits.

It has been asked for many times. I suspect the next version (2.9 or 3.0) will have instrument improvements again. I don’t know if internal routing will be among them.
But the instrument section is yet not finished. Internal routing is a thing that also is part of that. (But frankly also something for the DSP section)
