Summer Track From Sharku, "nittito"

A summery track made sporadically through may and june. Some “chillout” (the non-exixtant, and ever hated genre) vibes maybe, with some jazzy bass and brakebeats, but not quite… Listen to it and give me feedback please. As always, this is imperfect in many respects, but I like it and I hope you will too.

I have put it on my myspace page, and the mp3 is available for download here.
I used some vsts and vstis, but made a .xrns where these are replaced with native effects and a sampled version of the vsti. It sounds a bit different but it works out satisfactory. Also included is an idea for alternative version/remix. Checkthe xrns out here

Enjoy!

Very nice atmosphere.

IMHO you should loose the funky drummer (at least avoid playing it straight through with filter open as in the beginning and towards the end), though, to get a more timeless sound.

thanks for the advice! Although its not the funky drummer, but from Lyn Collins “think” I see what your getting at:)

Sorry, I obviously don’t know my beats

haha, not a bad guess though. It is in fact produced and written by james brown. But what do you mean with “timeless”? Do you think i should have effect processed the brakebeat to make it sound more “electronic”, or to make it less obvious in the mix? I really dont want to lose it, as it gives some nostalgia kick:), even though it may appear cheesy.

Peace, thanks for the comment!

I like it, but I can picture the beat building into something really heavy near the end of the song with maybe even some distorted instruments and then toning down back to beatless ambience at the very very end.
