I use Mac Mini too because it’s really, really silent - you’d have to stick your ear close to the back of the unit to hear the fan. This matters a lot to me 
I run both WinXP and OSX on it, Renoise is no problem with multiple plugins.
But it’s probably not powerful enough for most modern games, as it lacks powerful graphics…

No big mac! I prefer fruit and vegetables. 
Mac, Windows, Linux, I hate them all. I use Mac and then I want Windows. I use Windows and I want Mac. I don’t use Linux, but I’m sure it’s the same, so does your choice really matter? I hate OS wars.
I work with macs everyday. They’re easy to use and really decent for audio.
