Sync Lfo Start To Pattern Start

Sorry, missed this one:

The moog LP is a 4pole -> 24db/Oct
The moog HP is a 6db/Oct only…

Hope that helps…

Are the new names of any help then? Any idea to make even more clear what they do?

Maybe add some tooltips?

Yes, just like with the EQs, that rule!!

Thanks for the response Taktik. That clears stuff up I was wondering about.

Names or graphs won’t completely help. Reading all the info in this thread will.

What are you suggesting… putting a link to this topic in the filter device? :rolleyes:

NOTHING completely helps. Just ask Buddhists :lol:

I started tracking with the Amiga 500/1200 in OctaMed Studio back in the day. Eventually I moved on to the PC and picked up Modplug Tracker. Now I’m on Renoise 1.9 and I could not be happier.

Trackers in general have really come a long way. But honestly this is in due part because of Steinberg’s vst technology.

I have been pushing Open MPT’s developers to expand MPT for ages. They refuse to give it much the needed options that would bring it current to today’s standards, which Renoise certainly set the bar high.

I tried Renoise in it’s early days and thought it was an over glorified music app that looked pretty and that’s about it. Now that I have actually given the app fair trial and a little focus I could never see myself going back to MPT or any other tracker on purpose.

It’s got my vote.

the quieter sound is a normal side effect of the width enhancement; I would wonder why you didn’t notice it before, as I personally don’t find anything wrong with the current implementation, which actually I think it’s how it has always been.

am I wrong?

Hi guys,

I’ve installed Windows Vista 32 Ultimate for my Core2Duo e6300 [geforce8800, 2gb ram & e-mu 0404 soundcard].

Now I`m testing Renoise - it works all well and Vista looks better [at first sight] than XP.

What are your experiences with VST plugins? Does they work all well or there are any known problems? I`d like to know should I stay on Vista or bring back XP because of VST plugins compatibility?

The first [and only thing] that does not work for now is - my TV Card - it does not work at all :( and I have the most popular TV/FM tuner Leadtek WinFast TV2000 XP Expert… [problem with x88/bar afaik]

Any comments are welcome.

i use vista too since quite a bit and everything works fine, no worry on that side and i have lots of vsti :)

this only applies (as far as i have tested) to the DELAY DSP. check the delay set values… right click and it only raises the value by one. i often use values here of 12,15 etc… now i have to type it in or single click.

was this done on purpose or is it a glitch/bug?

cheers
klaus

In some cases (parameters) this has changed. Obviously not always perfectly. Well, not really a big problem, or?
Its now simply too late to touch/fix such stuff…

doh ! silly me found the answer ive been looking for in this post :

lol

Same here.
But I use random lfo a lot and then reset won’t help cause that’s what’s random is all about right :D ?

Now here is an idea;

Sometimes (most the of the time) the random lfo creates some really cool sounds while I’m composing.
But of course the next time it sounds completely different.
Maybe it would be cool if one could record the lfo output so that you can sort of freeze that nice random moment.

Here are a few ways to make this happen;

  • a record button in the lfo device itself with the option >> paste recorded lfo movements directly to automatisation
  • a record button per track that can enable/disable record lfo movements to automatisation

You like :lol:

My experience of Vista: Horrible OS
My expreience of Renoise + VST plugins: It rocks! :)

;)

yeah no problem… :) but would be nice to have that one back next time around, as i use this one A LOT hehe… congratz on the big release! awesome work.

cheers
