TAL Noisemaker does not open in Renoise Linux?

Failed to initialize the plugin ‘VST: TAL-Togu Audio Line: TAL-NoiseMaker’.

This is the error message when I try to open TAL Noisemaker Linux VST3 on Renoise. Any idea why this is happening? I am using the other paid TAL plugins and they work just fine.

Renoise version: Renoise 64Bit - V3.4.2 (Built: Apr 25 2022)

No problem on linux, NoiseMaker 5.0.6, R3.4.4

Upgraded to 3.4.4 but no luck.

strange,
VST3 works here.
Sandboxed or not.

For me it’s also working.

That error message is odd if you’re trying to load the VST3 plugin, as it only says “VST” (as in VST2). Is your plugin perhaps installed in the wrong folder or something?

I don’t think so. I just put the TAL-NoiseMaker.vst3 folder into my .vst folder and Renoise recognizes the plugin so that I can attempt to initialize it.

Hard to tell what’s going on without a log :frowning:
What does your log say?

Check the readme in the TAL zipfile

“Copy the folder PluginName.vst3 into the users .VST3 directory”

So I guess try moving it to ~/.vst3. That’s where mine is and it seems to be behaving nicely

You are right  I had smart configuration on my .bashrc where I set VST3_PATH=$VST_PATH because I probably thought Renoise was smart enough to know what plugin is 2 and what is 3. Separating them fixed it, thanks all!
