Some 7 years ago or so I for the first time wrote a song in a DAW. And then I redid it, over and over, never getting it the way I wanted it because I had no fucking idea what I was doing. The first time I ever recorded this song, I didn’t know about amp sims, so I literally just recorded DI with a distortion pedal. It sounded terrible. Hear for yourself, this is one of the “better” versions (I don’t know if I even have the original original anymore):

edit: Oh the technical details, as usual I used a Renoise + Reaper combo because Renoise is the best drum sequencer in the universe.
