They had the E27 EQ on sale for $25 @ audio delux, or $29 on their website recently. I passed on it. I said to myself, “meh, I have plenty of eq.” $30 is, “cheap enough,” but heh, I have all the eq I need…

ROFL… I keep hearing people in tutorials say how different all their beloved compressors are, but no matter how hard i try I can’t hear any difference and that’s how I know I am not a great mixing engineer… same with EQs :rofl:

endless sea with ‘analog’ emulation. Pick one versatile comp/eq that can also replicate old emulations, but that can also do super-precise things with no artifacts - which analog emulations cannot obviously.
Most of people cannot distinct wether they need compression at all - but pick a analog-emulation-compressor because they like distortion/saturation implemented for example… And after few of those, they expect from every compressor to introduce artifacts and things that ‘should not’ be there…
for eq’s, there are many types of eq’s, by phase shifting, by introducing parallel eq-ing (i’m not really a developer so i’m not aware of more concepts), and analog emulations which do some ‘snake oil’ in the chain as well…

so people use analog emulation eq (with distortion) because they like distortion in the chain, not because of its eq capabilities… same goes with many other tools…
& i gave up collecting plugins… so much money spent, so little gained, i only got distracted from making music…
