The music style. ![]()
Your music is melodious and creates a specific atmosphere, easy listening stuff.
Club music is energetic, punchy, loud and less varied.
Some good elements here, i like the track, but also agree with TNT.
That said I’m now curious what dj do you listen to, do you plan on letting them spin this one?
Ok, so it is the choice of style.
Yes my style is certainly not intended as ‘club’-music. ![]()
I am much inspirated by 80’s music from my childhood, and ofcause c64 game and c64+Amiga demoscene music from early 90’s.
Also the recent studio albums by Jan Hammer has given me some inspiration lately
Thank you ![]()
I dont listen to any DJ’s.. I don’t know any, either ![]()
I listen to my CD collection, Spotify, YouTube and some demoscene + c64 game related stuff.
Thats also where my inspiration comes from
been monkeying around with Max/MSP throughout much of this year and by now have some personal VSTs and original samples I’ve been using in Renoise… thus came up with this particular still-very-unfinished work in progress the other week…
I started this approx 3 hours ago, having a break doing some wallaper pasting, going back while waiting for it to dry, writing bit more…. result so far….
Some errors indeed, but the main idea is there
Is finished now and out
I like it harmonic wise, rhythmical it seems to be quite convoluted though, to my ears…. The lead sounds a bit silly
No idea.
Thanks for reviewing it ![]()
Yes i agree its silly. And mabye that makes it even more authentic and honest.
I found out that things thrown together in a hurry seems to work best for me.
Industrial Bahnhof was done this way, and i really enjoy doing it that way.
(Ofcause some error fixes and additions are done later, but the core idea must come instantly)
Nice approach, have to try that, too!
I have replaced the file with an improved one.
- More gain on master
- Compressed mid range
- and a few changes in the arrangement.
Does it work better now?
I have replaced it once again… some small fixes in piano chors volumen and the jazz-snare volumen.
Do I have to do more? I feel it is enough now
Some kind of noise begins around 2:20 and remains till the end;
where it fades out before the song cuts. Perhaps intentional?
Nice sounds overall though.
Thanks.
Good spot. I suppose it is the KORG_M1_TEST_104 that has this noise. (The ‘..Pony trick..’ has none, i can find)
I have also spotted it in the ‘104’ . I think its a piano+voice layered instrument that ‘hangs’… There must be a note not released there. I’m gonna fix it
ALso that wrong bass note hanging in the end part.
Plus several notes here and then that needs timing corrections.
Finished and released now
A rough draft, hopeful becoming ‘Industrial Bahnhof II’ sometime…
Needs clean up, some adjustments, and an ending… and some more..
Weird, I don’t know how/why that previous post was showing up as a reply to one of JVS’s posts. Had that happen before on other sites’ forums that use this same type of forum software too, lol
Anyway, recorded this last September:
An album actually now is in the works. Takes some time… ![]()
This reminds me of the dezecrator crackto song… But the original drums are so nicely saturated…
EDIT: So nice
Some reverb on the kick sample, too…
Because of the bass I rather have to think of Agile, even if it’s much slower and more atmospheric than this:
More berlinschool style with only Predator VST
This one also using drum samples..
