Tips on performing live? Controllers and setups

Any suggestions on using renoise to play live? I know there are older topics, but they don’t go into a ton of detail.

I’m curious if there are any controllers that are suggested and how to set things up.

Ideally I’d like to be able to play live like how in LSDJ you can trigger different channels off. Can the pattern matrix do this? How do you switch between songs easily?

Any tips on live improvising in Renoise like how you can with Ableton and a Push?

I think the Novation MIDI controllers are pretty cool for live tweaking. I got 2 of them and they work pretty well with Renoise.

Hm, Renoise and Push I’m not too sure about that, it could work but I don’t know about it.
