Oftentimes I route sendtracks to other sendtracks. For example, I will route all my snares into a SnareSend track, all my Kicks into a KickSend. Those two sendtracks, along with the rest of my percussion, will go to a BeatSend track.
Now, when I solo one of the tracks with a kick in it, for example, only the KickSend unmuted, wheras the greater BeatSend should also be unmuted. In short, the entire “chain” of sendtracks should be unmuted when soloing.
I think the best solution for this problem would be user assignable track groups. With such track groups, I could assign all my kicks to a single group, including all pertinent send tracks. Then, muting or soloing ONE of the tracks in the group will mute/solo ALL of them. Of course, there could be a key combination + mouseclick that would mutu/solo only the track that’s being clicked, effectively bypassing the track group.
The current behaviour has been ticking me off for quite a while now, as I tend to utilize fairly long sendtrack “chains”.
Hope that makes sense!
