this isn’t really a feature request, more of a hypothetical question:

i don’t know a whole lot about how media decoding works in programs like renoise. would it be possible to swap out the audio decoding code in renoise with one that decodes video so that you could use video clips instead of audio clips and still do frequency and offset manipulations with pattern effects?

use adobe and grid it :P

No, a codec would need to interprete that the ‘offset’ command of renoise ment to be Offset for video, the only People who could do that within renoise is team renoise themself.

But i am sure that you can control Video by Midi, there is all this VJ’ing software out there, google around and you should get lucky.
