Something that I know would help me a lot with orientation in renoise would be something like these screenshots .

Hidden Columns

The two advantages I see are;

  • Quick location of current track in addition to orange cursor.

  • Quick recognition of whether there are hidden columns to the left or right of the track you are editing.

i.e. no hilighted border to the left means there must be more columns in the current track to scroll to.

Could be optional of course - Enable current track hilighting in right click menu. And may be of course better looking than my screenshot :)
